Probably. I know RV's aren't zoned for permanent residency in many places. Them redefining the laws to meet a square footage sum must be in response to this tiny home cuck shed fad.

Makes sense really. If I was the lord of the manor I would require my peasants to build assets on the land they rent from me. Something to enrich my kingdom and ensure the prosperity of my subjects/ end LARP

You'll get there dude. One day you'll look back on your property owner LARPing days, and tell your kids about the time you dreamed of the good life paying taxes so fucksticks could buy votes with the gibs you paid for. You'll tell 'em it was worth it, because it meant you joined the league of landed gentry, forever laden with the burden of supporting your community, not like those fly by night tiny housers who were more than happy to hitch their trailers to the utilities you provided, but scorned any notion of community responsibility.

You'll tell your seven beautiful babes that the weight of citizenship lays heavily upon those who are willing to bear it, but in the end it's worth it. The bedrock of a quality place to live is the men who are willing to work and pay for it. One day, if they're blessed, they too will be the pillars upon which the rest of society rests.

Hmmm... I think I can improve on that. I definitely need some way to scale up from the bucket & drill, if I get a big harvest this spring. I'm afraid that I'll have to pick all of the heads by hand, otherwise - which is an option, but takes time. I could use the straw though, for mulching..

I have my grapevines and garlic in the mail. Planning to put some onions in the ground too, but those seeds are cheap and easy. All of this stuff will sprout, then sit dormant over the winter, for an early harvest. I need to figure out a better way to maintain our strawberry patch - it gets penetrated by grass, and probably needs some fertilizing. I might just re-plant it.

I still need to finish tilling, but those babies have been pretty demanding lately. Still, I shall persevere. This weekend is the optimal sowing date, according to my very precise calculations, involving my colon.

Back in Old Timey days, land was divided into 40 acre plots, as that is what it took for a family of 6-8 to be self sustaining. In modern times, with the aid of technology and good techniques, I believe it could be done on 5 acres.

It's a great goal.

yeah, 5 acres is a heck of a lot of food/produce. Enough to pay the bills, if you live modestly.

1 acre is not much. At least 5 acres for the amount of mouths you have to feed.

Depends on how you use it. If you manage to really use the land to it's potential, you could support a large family, with some money for bills.

It does, we've already had that video of the family that produces like 15000 pounds of food on a quarter acre, but I really think 3-5 acres for the average person is good. Variables as you know include soil, water, growing zone. But a little more land gives your the cushion IMO.

I really like those pics above, but I'm a graphic learner.
I'm one year on a new 4 acre place, I'm raising a cow on a 1 acre lot that I'm irrigating. Working out well. Current garden is tiny, gotta build my soil up, but I did get my Raspberries planted.
