Just for the LULZ. But dem LULZ is sweet.

The Right Has Won the Supreme Court. Now What?
If you’ve been spending the past few days pondering some Supreme Court-related historical what-if’s, then try this one on for size. Thurgood Marshall, the court’s first African-American justice, announced his retirement on June 27, 1991. That was, of course, smack in the middle of a Republican presidency — that of George H. W. Bush.

Mr. Bush, a one-term president, had already made one appointment to the court, David Souter, so Justice Marshall’s retirement was — and indeed was seen as — a gift to the president. He was in his 80s, and he felt increasingly isolated on the court, but it’s also the case that politically, Supreme Court succession wasn’t a life-or-death matter in those days.

In our time, Justice Marshall would surely have held on, hoping for the possibility of a Democrat winning the presidency in 1992. And as we know, that happened. Bill Clinton won. And here’s where fate’s heavy hand figures in: Mr. Marshall died on Jan. 24, 1993 — Bill Clinton’s third full day as president.

Had Justice Marshall stuck by his original intention not to retire, Mr. Clinton would have delivered his funeral oration and replaced him. Clarence Thomas would never have been on the court, and we presumably would have had a 5-4 liberal majority rather than a conservative one all these years. No Citizens United, no Hobby Lobby decision, none of the bleak outcomes we’ve been battered with in these past few days.
Can you believe that rotten nigger Thomas stole our seat through such underhanded nigger tricks?
You know Thomas probably read that article in his armchair while eating Cheetos and had a good laugh.

I just want someone who is a strict constitutionalist and without ties to the swamp. You can clearly see by the article, they see it as a political wrestling match

Dude, I cannot believe how stupid the democrats are.

In 2016, the GOP made the case that the American people should have a say in the nomination of the Supreme Court Justice during an election year. Trump promised to end federal preemptions of abortion laws (which frankly are unconstitutional). Evangelicals in particular came out big.

Now the democrats want to somehow copy this by arguing the American people should have a say in whether a nominee is confirmed during a Midterm election year. Like that's going to somehow get their base out.

But it's likely to get the republican base out. Watch. BIG MISTAKE!

It looks like we won't have to wait long to get the name of the nominee. McConnell and Trump both have all the strategic reasons in the world to get this moving quickly.

Here's some commentary from some smart cookies on some of the candidates on POTUS' list:

Who should Donald Trump nominate to replace Justice Anthony Kennedy on the Supreme Court?

Legal bloggers weigh in on who President Donald Trump should nominate to replace Justice Anthony Kennedy for the Supreme Court.

Also, I urge everyone to express gratitude to individual Senators for a job well done, on those rare occasions that they get one right.

Had the National Review, the Weekly Standard, David Frum, Rick Wilson, Jonah Goldberg, Bill Kristol, Joe Scarborough, and the rest of this morally bankrupt crew called Never Trump won the day, Democrats would be looking at a 6-3 majority on the Supreme Court.
Had Never Trump got what they wanted in 2016 — a President Hillary Clinton — Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia would have already been replaced with another Ruth Bader Ginsberg, which ensured an immediate 5-4 left-wing majority. But thanks to the man Never Trump told us was not a real conservative, we got Neil Gorsuch.

If that is not enough of a real-life nightmare (as I’ll explain below), Wednesday’s retirement of Justice Anthony Kennedy would have increased that already unthinkable majority to 6-3, ensuring a left-wing court rewriting the Constitution for decades to come.

Just look at the hell these Never Trumpers would have unleashed during the Supreme Court term that just ended.

Cake artists forced to participate in same-sex weddings.
Public employees forced to contribute to Democrat campaigns through forced union dues.
Pro-life clinics forced by the state to advertise for abortion clinics.
States not allowed to clean up their own outdated voter rolls.
And on and on…

Fired the hell up,
Never Trump was never about morality, conservatism, individual liberty, and it certainly is not about America.

Never Trump is and was only about one thing — a bunch of spoiled, petty, small-minded, bigoted sore losers who desperately want to be on CNN and MSNBC.

These nihilistic peacocks all put their personal vanity above the fate of their own country, and only a few have shown the integrity and humility necessary to admit just how horribly wrong they were.

Someday I might be able to forgive, but for right now these Vichy Republicans can slow cook in hell.

You guys have to know this is likely to result in national riots and street violence, right?

Abortion is about to become illegal in most red states.

These leftists have lost everything. It's over.

The only way they could conceivably win long-term now is through civil war.

If you think the zombies will not burn down cities because they might no longer be allowed to murder their own babies.. think again.
