It really feels like people are going to lose their asses on Crypto. The big promise was government would not be able to touch it. And in a world where global fiats are more inflated than Stacy Abrahams they looked good. But as soon as Crypto was being used to fund an unapproved message they crushed it.

They can only crush the exchanges. People can still hold and trade it freely no matter what. You may not be able to use it to buy beer, but you can sell it to another guy for cash for beer.

Isn't that going to severely reduce the value of Crypto ?

It creates a barrier to financialization. But that’s likely temporary. Nobody using it on dark web or in actual commerce is going through an exchange.

It’s a setback for general acceptance, but probably not a serious problem.

I love watching it.

Likely, they just cheat and spin the shares out of thin air or something. But his next move will be to DRS them - direct-register the shares, so they actually have to exist.

On Wednesday, GameStop either goes moon, or they come up with another cheat.

I know precisely nothing about investing. Our local bank was just that, a local bank...10 years ago. Twice it has been taken over by a somewhat larger regional bank and then another somewhat larger regional bank. Now I don't like them. We have a really good local credit union that all of my vehicle loans are through. IMO I'd like to take a substantial portion of our money and put it into the credit union, because, "not keeping all of your eggs in one basket" is sound philosophy to me.

Am I right or wrong? Does it even matter...? I don't trust the gubmint, the FDIC, none of it. I think it's all a veneer. My wife thinks it is a waste of time to do all of that. I don't.... Somebody please school me.
