Here's the case
The monopoly-busting case against Google, Amazon, Uber, and Facebook

Antitrust crusaders have built up serious momentum in Washington, but so far, it’s all been theory and talk. Groups like Open Markets have made a strong case that big companies (especially big tech companies) are distorting the market to drive out competitors. We need a new standard for monopolies, they argue, one that focuses less on consumer harm and more on the skewed incentives produced by a company the size of Facebook or Google...………………..

Our best model for tech antitrust is the Department of Justice’s anti-bundling case against Microsoft in the ‘90s, which argued that Microsoft was using its control over the PC market to force out competing operating systems and browsers. If you’re looking for a contemporary equivalent, Google is probably the closest fit. On a good day, Google (or Alphabet, if you prefer) is the most valuable company in the world by market cap, with dozens of different products supported by an all-encompassing ad network.

I'm sure most of you have at least heard about this, but here's the video.

It's just really good to listen to them speak amongst themselves and hear their thoughts.

How the fuck do you "break up Google and Facebook"? That is the downside. It makes no sense.

Agree that its good to know how people really think or partly at least. It seems to me a lot of techy types don't honor homeland or nationhood at all. They have a job that's in demand, pays well, and creative to one degree or another, plus lots are introvert types so there's that. They are into things more than people and libertarianism at least the social variant interest them for obvious reasons. They generally see no utility to roots and family much less nationalism.

I slightly disagree. Most of these green-haired transvestites that are taking over jobs at Google are neither introverted or intellectual. In fact, they drive out the introverts (Damore).

They have to at least be mathmatically "smart", no? They are also in a job that I'd think draws people into it that tend to be introverted b/c they work alone mostly *(right?) and crunch "data" etc. I think there is "group think" anywhere you work really but ya they drive out people that don't conform or speak out any culturally/political way. For example I'd also wager in general most Google employee are agnostic or atheist and if you were openly religious you'd be shunned as well.

They are not that smart at all. That is why innovation is grinding to a halt.

That doesn't make any sense on a technical level. Behind the scenes, they are doing the exact same thing. Further, there is no freaking way you are going to create four or five copies of Google. Google is basically a giant network of server farms. The data they store is beyond most people's imagination. You can't just create four more massive server complexes somewhere and expect that to make money.

Google needs competitors. I suspect one of the biggest problems is patents, honestly. My solution to Google would be regulation of political discrimination on their social media platforms and services, and taking away patents and making that shit public domain. If somebody like Google wants to ever do shit like this again, then make their patents public so that they get competitors.
