Nukedog beat you to this one a few pages ago. Wish I was there. I'd ask that kid how he knows he's not disrespecting a Soldier of the 369th Infantry Regiment. He'd say what? Then I'd get to tell him about the proud history of the Harlem Hellfighters.Hastur wrote:It keeps spreading.

Oh DAmn
A bunch of hot chicks just made the NFL look like little spoiled girls
And the Petition to remove Ray Lewis' statue from the Ravens stadium is at 47,690 supporters, the goal is only 50k.
It took only a tad over 2 days to get 50k sigs.
I think this kind of stuff is really going to affect the supporters, when it starts to hurt them personally.

And this one will have the NFL shitting bricks because they chose to lay with dogs.

https://www.allenbwest.com/2017/09/26/d ... -slap-nfl/Sen. Cory Booker (D-NJ) and Oklahoma Sen. James Lankford (R-OK) have co-sponsored a bill that would strip any taxpayer funding for professional sports teams for building their massive arenas.
The proposal, first put forward in June, is gaining steam on Capitol Hill after NFL players began kneeling during the national anthem to protest police brutality (or something).

Smart move? Perhaps in pumping the base is, but how are "the pollutants" trapped? Looks like more that the floculation agent causes an increase in the size and scope of 'pollutants'.C-Mag wrote: I have no doubt some of this is about pumping the base. A week ago before this shit storm blew up I posted an article that said the NFLPA was petitioning the NFL for basically a Social Justice Month. The case was brought by 40 players. Trump may have forced the NFL's hand. Trump knew the poll numbers on Flag Protests were 70% negative. Why not break this thing open, make protesters look stupid (which they are) and be the one on the high ground defending the Flag. It's a smart move.
Page one of this thing I called Trump a Floculation Agent, a substance that causes pollutants to settle out and be trapped. That's what Trump did here.
It's actually from the Republican old playbook for a President to focus sometime on issues like respecting the flag or how big offence burning a flag is. Comes up occasionally with huge media attention. Just like, uh, Freedom Fries. Yet then it is something that nearly everybody sees as offensive, like trampling the flag, burning it Iran style.
Besides, if you are looking people to blame, why isn't anybody angry at Nate Boyer? After all, it's him that came up with a more respectful way to make a demonstration than sitting on the bench. And that's the thing that caught on.
And anyway Trump's whole tactic of keeping his base by not only attacking the left but also the Republican party isn't so smart unless he thinks that he doesn't any kind of capability to broaden his support and doesn't think he has to deliver anything (that the executive orders are enough). If so, then it might be logical. Yeah, just continue to demand over and over again an Obamacare-repeal makes Trump look as if he is persistent and the Republicans bad. I'm just wondering how long it will take the Republicans to see that Trump doesn't care a shit if they fail especially if he will look better.

That's all these people can do....what's easy. 99.99% of Americans (not just Democrats) are against racism, discrimination, and police brutality. It's only those looking to be divisive who are kneeling. This is their middle finger to Trump. There is no real message to the kneeling at this point other than "FU Trump". None of those fool scientists are going to jack about racism or police brutality once they get up off their knees. They may try and do something about their perceived view of discrimination by discriminating against whites, because that is the only way they know know to deal with it.ssu wrote: a) Easy thing for democrats to support: being against racism, discrimination and police brutality b) Easy way to do it: Kneel. c) Easy results: The people who get angered about your kneeling are ...the people you want to get angered.

Democrats aren't against racism, they LOVE racism, it's their bread and butter. They can count on the black vote because they say that the Republicans are for white rich men that keep everyone else down.PartyOf5 wrote:That's all these people can do....what's easy. 99.99% of Americans (not just Democrats) are against racism, discrimination, and police brutality. I say if they can kneel, and don't have a football for us to kick, we get to kick them instead... or at least push them over.Martin Hash wrote:No. Straight up Virtue Signaling.apeman wrote:Did they ever say why they are kneeling?Martin Hash wrote:At my District Dem meeting tonight about a dozen members knelt during the Pledge.
