Michael Flynn won’t honor subpoena, Senate panel chairman says

WASHINGTON — Ousted National Security Adviser Michael Flynn will not honor a subpoena issued by a Senate committee looking into Russia’s meddling in the 2016 presidential election, the panel’s chairman said Thursday.
Republican Sen. Richard Burr of North Carolina told reporters that Flynn’s lawyer has informed the panel he will not abide by a subpoena for private documents.
The decision comes as no surprise, legal experts say, given that Flynn would be waiving his constitutional protection against self-incrimination by turning over personal documents to the committee. Flynn, though his lawyer, had earlier asked for immunity from “unfair prosecution” in exchange for agreeing to cooperate with the committee.

Immunity denied. Now disregarding a subpoena. This is starting to look interesting.

Oh, that's right. Comey already cleared the dude.
FBI reviewed Flynn’s calls with Russian ambassador but found nothing illicit
The FBI in late December reviewed intercepts of communications between the Russian ambassador to the United States and retired Lt. Gen. Michael T. Flynn — national security adviser to then-President-elect Trump — but has not found any evidence of wrongdoing or illicit ties to the Russian government, U.S. officials said.

PS They bought in the special prosecutor so they can connect the Turkish payments to the "Russia Investigation".

Re: Our Guy Flynn
Look read this exit interview and see if it clears things up for you.
Flynn: I think we’re in a period of prolonged societal conflict that is pretty unprecedented. In the Middle East, we’re starting to see issues arise over boundaries that were drawn back in the post-colonial era following World War I. In some regions, we’re seeing the failure of the nation-state, and to some degree the disintegration of the [Westphalian] system of nation-states: Look at Libya, or Mali, or Nigeria. Because of a youth bulge, Nigeria will be the third most populated country on the planet in ten years, and [the Al Qaeda-linked terrorist group] Boko Haram is active in half of that country. Then look at what’s happening in Iraq and Syria.
What I see is a strategic landscape and boundaries on the global map changing right before our eyes. That change is being accelerated by the explosion of social media. And we in the intelligence community are trying to understand it all.
JK: Did you ever feel like a lone voice in the administration warning that the terrorist threat was growing, not receding?
Flynn: I think we collectively felt that way. We said many times, “Hey, we need to get this intelligence in front of the Secretary of Defense, the Secretary of State, the National Security adviser! The White House needs to see this intelligence picture we have!”
We saw all this connective tissue developing between these [proliferating] terrorist groups. So when asked if the terrorists were on the run, we couldn’t respond with any answer but ‘no.’ When asked if the terrorists were defeated, we had to say ‘no.’ Anyone who answers ‘yes’ to either of those questions either doesn’t know what they are talking about, they are misinformed, or they are flat out lying.

BTW, you won't find a board on the web with a more thorough and honest discussion concerning General Flynn.

1/24 Flynn was cleared by the FBI in regards to his phone calls with Kislyak in December. That was the scope of this specific investigation.kybkh wrote:Wonder why the Supreme Meme Commander has not been bought before the man yet? Seems they got an open and shut case no??

5/10 Flynn has been a target of a separate and ongoing investigation into Russian interference in last year's presidential election, which has reached the stage where federal prosecutors, from the U.S. Attorney's Office in Alexandria, VA, have issued grand jury subpoenas.
