Anyone know why the Steyr Scout didn't take off?


Seems like a great rifle for hunters, but at the cost of $2600 here, it's way too expensive.

I've actually seen that in guns&ammo. Looked cool as shit. Probably not a huge market for scout rifles.

The advances in technology have given snipers the ability to shoot accurately at distances previously thought impossible. Firearms like the Cheytec combined optics and sensing equipment to adjust for variables are rewriting sniping.

Recently another new sniping record was set, this time the confirmed kill distance has been pushed out to 2.1 Miles with a McMillan tac-50.

It's really about the technology, it just so happens a Canadian was behind the gun. The tac 50 is the real star.
