You don't seem to understand that anthrocentrism has been the way of the world for basically all of recorded history in most cultures. What looks to you like gynocentrism is literally just evening those scales, which I admit has sometimes (but not very often) been imperfect in that men have gotten the short end of the stick in SOME areas (certainly not all and there is not full equality yet for women either, we're still short of that as Hayak's essay really nicely explains). For example, the issues with family courts. And I do realize that men have it pretty bad, I don't see patriarchy as something that only harms women and benefits men, I think it harms both. For example, the issue with family courts. The reason they were all set up that way, and why so many judges have favored moms, was because society was set up to see mothering and caregiving as basically 100% women's work. It really is getting better now, literally all the people I know who have kids around the same age as mine and are divorced have 50-50% custody arrangements, so it's not like you can't correct this stuff to be more equal after the needle swings a little bit too far in some areas.Speaker to Animals wrote:This is ALL about gynocentrism. We are in a moment of unprecedented rape hoaxes perpetrated by dishonest women while an endless train of female teachers walk with minimal sentencing for raping boys, but all we hear about is how rough women have it and how we must believe every allegation women make regardless of the lack of credibility and evidence (which is real sexism).
Demanding we all cater even more to the demands of women is exactly what gynocentrism means. It doesn't even occur to you that men have it pretty bad too, worse when you consider the apathy society has for their suffering, and the reality that they can easily be punished for their own rape by coming forward. It's not about you. We all suffer from sexual predators, and your sisters do it just as much.

Jesus, Ooky. It's not evening the scales at all. Look at what you are doing here. Women commit at least half of the sexual assaults and rapes, they commit the vast majority of false allegations, and yet you expect men to jump through hoops to serve women's needs when it comes to sexual assault. You couldn't care less that men suffer from this too, or that women commit these crimes too. It's all about you. That's literally gynocentrism. You took a non-gendered issue and tried to make it about women, which is the OPPOSITE of evening out scales.

He said that, when you are a star, women let you grab them by the pussy. Which is fact. I think the source of your anger is towards your fellow women who whore themselves out to powerful men like that, really.
He's obviously an asshole, but he's also obviously correct. Women throw themselves towards men with money and/or power all the time. Are you even going to dispute that??
You know, a lot women's so-called problems are really their own decisions. If you could bring yourself to be as critical of your fellow women as I am of my fellow men, you'd probably make some personal progress towards understanding how this shit really works.

Trump has been harmless so far. It doesn't even look like he'll get his idiot Tax Plan through. Like I said before, most of what Trump does accomplish I like or don't care, and all the things I care about, he fails. As long as that is true, and he pisses off the SJWs, I'm okay with him.ooky wrote:I find that totally valid.nmoore63 wrote:The royal crown of Clinton and the belief that it was her turn and he could not win, is very much a part of why I would have voted for him.ooky wrote: I'm sure we do exist in different worlds. Re: And another one bites the dust...
We have heard literally hundreds and hundreds of accusations in the past few months against powerful men from women AND men, you know that, right? THERE ARE MEN in the accusers and victims column, they're just all accusing other men. I'm not aware of any yet made against a powerful woman, but if that happens, those accusers should be listened to as well. (And if you think I or most othe rwomen are hip to female teachers raping boys, that's totally off base. OF COURSE those women should be prosecuted. I kind of think it's the patriarchy's fault why they have not been because of some bizarre idea that a teen boy should be totally thrilled to get hot sex from anywhere he can, even from a MILF or TILF)Speaker to Animals wrote:Jesus, Ooky. By the way, I'm not on the "automatically believe all accusers" side - I do think they should be given the benefit of the doubt though and their claims evaluated for credibility on a case by case basis. Many of them are totally credible to me lately because 1) many are corroborated by others or 2) show a clear pattern of bad behavior. I've also seen stuff in my life that makes me understand that many women really do have to deal with these sexual landmines in the workplace and garbage men who use their positions of power in these gross ways. But for so long, society has been set up to automatically disbelieve the accuser, because we haven't wanted to believe these powerful, central members of our workplaces and lives would be like this.

There are several women who claimed he did EXACTLY that to them, and they absolutely did not want him to be grabbing them and kissing them. That's assault. I'm sure he thinks it's no big deal, because he is not thinking about what they want, really. He's stroking his own ego and taking what he wants. If a woman fights and pushes you off, it's just a bit of chase, slap and tickle, right?Speaker to Animals wrote:ooky wrote:Speaker to Animals wrote:LOL.

Of course women throw themselves at powerful men. That's not what we're talking about. Men throw themselves at really hot women too, but as you've reminded me a million times, women can rape men too. If a hot woman raped a guy, it would not matter that 10 other guys really wanted to have sex with her.
