a) Easy thing for democrats to support: being against racism, discrimination and police brutality b) Easy way to do it: Kneel. c) Easy results: The people who get angered about your kneeling are ...the people you want to get angered.

And all thanks to Trump and the right-wing talking heads getting angry about it. Works just like Hillary referring to Trump supporters as "Deplorables", it just gets the other side all worked up.

Just how long before this fad goes away is yet to be seen. The fun thing about the Trump Presidency is that people and the media won't be just hanging on just to one thing, next week or two there's again something new outrageous and shocking and for the people to vent their anger. Trump will work his base and annoy his opponents, that is for sure. But of course this thing can persist, at least with racial minorities. Time will tell.

It's always with these the easiness that annoys me. You can buy something, do something very little and for many it seems they have done a lot. Give a thumbs up! Yeah, that's the way the World changes.

Besides, I was a bit confused when this BLM-movement came to existence, Obama got a free pass. Seemed (at leas to me) that he just acknowledged that bad things happen, but didn't do much about it. Because there you did have your minority President. Of course, it's not actually what the President's job actually, but still.

I have no doubt some of this is about pumping the base. A week ago before this shit storm blew up I posted an article that said the NFLPA was petitioning the NFL for basically a Social Justice Month. The case was brought by 40 players. Trump may have forced the NFL's hand. Trump knew the poll numbers on Flag Protests were 70% negative. Why not break this thing open, make protesters look stupid (which they are) and be the one on the high ground defending the Flag. It's a smart move.
