If a chick is arguing with you, don't argue, cause there's nothing to prove

Just like battleschool you say "lead, follow or get out of the way, what do you want to do ?"

That always confounds Mrs Smitty,

although in most cases she chooses leads, right now, she's scared, so she's in follow mode
If she chooses lead, then follow if you like where she is leading, or get out of the way if she doesn't

If she chooses follow, then lead where she wants to go and where you also want to go, or get out of the way if she's hovering

If she chooses get out of the way, then lead where she wants to go and where you also want to go, or follow and give her some space

That sound about right?

Grilling some marinated ham steaks in the fresh country air. God bless us every one.
Your pig arrived eventually then?
Oh yeah he got here a few weeks ago. Bacon was disappointing, as I don’t think it was smoked or salted enough. The old fashioned hams are amazing though.

The other thing was, yesterday her morale was starting to flag

So rather than enable that, I just nipped it in the bud, before it could fester

Operator is just a state of mind

This is an ongoing operation, the morale must be fostered

Why was her morale flagging? John Rambo Jesus had her down, or was that just the symptom of her lower morale?

She thinks the COVID could kill me, she thinks I'm communing with JRJ because it's my death song

Which it is, although only just in case

Ah, so she thought that you thought you're doomed, and hence the lashing out JRJ for it, which caused you to set her straight, looking right in her eyes, speaking from the heart

Well played

I put her in her place, then I told her to come here

I took her in my arms, looked her in the eyes said ;

"I loved you from the moment I saw you, I will love you even after the day I die"

She :bites lip:

Then I catch her off guard with "Hey, I'm a romantic guy !" dead serious look on my face

She :giggles

So fucking romantic, rule that putty

Basically she was starting to stare into the abyss and it was staring back at her

She's an atheist, the Lord is not with her

Chicks are like troops, when they start down that path you have to take action to snap them out of it

Again, ongoing operation, there is no escape, so I foster her morale

Plus I am all lovey dovey up on her anyways, just don't sass JRJ on Easter at the dinner table

Old fashioned boiled ham with parsley sauce always went down well when we were doing film and TV jobs. Pork loin in cider, apple and mustard sauce used to fly out as well. Other than that, and bacon, it was always difficult to get them to eat pork though. Which was a shame as pork is the cheapest meat these days. Even cheaper than chicken.
Oh, and I did a slow-cooked belly pork in BBQ sauce a few times which went down well.

Never even seen poutine. That doesn't seem to have crossed the pond. You can get chips and gravy from most chip shops but you would be offended by the thick gloopy packet gravy and nobody does it with cheese.
