Milspecs: “I can pay my bills this week. Some day I will have vengeance.”
I believe this is called a cultural difference.
I don't understand vengence ?
Seriously

That’s the cultural difference. Fire in the belly. It drives you to succeed.C-Mag wrote:MilSpecs wrote:I just pictured us at our shit jobs back in the day.C-Mag wrote: I sure and the hell didn't want to work in a Bacon production plant, on an assembly line, no talking, you just stand they and process the bacon. Not a problem just taking accounting courses. Then it's vocational school. We should have more vocational opportunities. Why force people into college who don't want that track?nmoore63 wrote:If only there was a way to make education cheaper....
Nah, make them take women’s studies before they can have their accounting degree.

Hard to dispute that some homeless people are simply not hireable. They would actually hinder productivity. Reasons include disability, mental and physical.
So right there, for those people, if you want a job, you can't get a job.
Another group can get a job, but can't keep them very long. Reasons include addiction, personality disorders, mild mental illness.
Maybe they can get help through counseling and medication, they'd need the resources and the motivation. The initial problems may affect the motivation though.
I'm sure upbringing has a huge effect on whether people in the second group succeed or not. But a person doesn't control their upbringing.
So the reality is it's not simply a question of job availability, nor is it some stupid blame the rich, or blame the lazy poor dichotomy. It might be an issue without a group or entity to blame.

Try and get your CPA without going to a university.MilSpecs wrote:Not a problem just taking accounting courses. Then it's vocational school. We should have more vocational opportunities. Homeless people are trash. Instead of worrying about employing them we should concern ourselves with sterilizing them.

I know. I don't agree with forcing people to get a college degree when a certification serves the purpose.nmoore63 wrote:Try and get your CPA without going to a university.MilSpecs wrote:Not a problem just taking accounting courses.
