My sister called OSHA. They didn't answer, she left a voicemail. They didn't get back to her.
What?
Non-responsive Public Union employees?
Couldn’t be.
Called Washington State OSHA just to ask some questions. No waiting, she picked up, answered some questions, all fine and dandy.
Trust me when I say this people, don't move to Illinois.
It’s called Grupo Antolin now.
That’s fucking disgusting. And against the rules.
Cleaning that stuff is my profession. I just sent the plant manager and head engineer an email. We shall see if they are willing to do anything about it.

There's also the little detail of the government hiring massive amounts of people at inflated wages to work in the bureaucracy instead of working normal jobs, like the people in the VA hospital who, upon being put in charge of disabled veterans' health, make it quite clear that veteran's lives are worthless.
It's kind of hard for the private sector to compete with that.

I haven't worked there in a few years, hopefully they fixed those issues. Doubt it though. Interested to see what happens.

As a comparison to the public union worker response, here’s how the richest, whitest, malest, 1%er devil in the world responds to wait times:

But you know ... he’s horrible and the government is our friend.

I have to wait another month to find out if it I have a deadly heart defect. Still getting dizzy. Still almost passing out sometimes. Government workers made it clear my life is worthless to them.

Truly sucks. Anyone who has ever gone to the DMV knows that government workers have no incentive to go any faster or do any better. Unfortunately that’s true for everything from licensing to saving people’s lives. They pretty much can’t be fired for less than a felony. They answer to no productivity standards nor concern themselves with any bottom line. They’re there to punch a clock and get a check, and shuffle people through the system at whatever pace they choose.

And, like I said, the problem is actually complex. An equilibrium was established in illegal workers, lucrative and expanding government bureaucracy, and corporate farm subsidies.
It is not really as simple as "Americans don't want those jobs", or "raise the wages". Cut off the illegal workers and the corporate farm industry out west collapses. Raise the wages and you get less production. End the subsidies and you get shutdown conditions for a lot of farms.
There are side effects to every economic decision.

It's pretty depressing when they demonstrate a complete disregard for your life. That's a whole different level of fucked up.
Worst part of it is, my congressman Mark Meadows goes on and on about protecting Americans from the bureaucracy and socialism, but then does everything possible to protect those fucking VA hospital workers from disabled veterans having a choice.

Cut price fixing subsidies, forbid illegal workers. Agricultural commodities normalize to their true price points and supply falls in line with demand. Now our agricultural output changes from what farmers can oversupply the government with for the best profits to what American consumers actually want to purchase.
Efficiency is achieved. By reaching better economic efficiency a higher standard of living abounds. Plus all those taxes paid to store excess agricultural commodities and care for/deport illegal workers, no longer needed.
Are there trade offs? Sure. The very lucrative subsidy-illegals-warehousing scam gets broken up and the players lose their fixed game. But the larger economy gains.
