For the record, I didn't badmouth Adams, as far as I recall. His whole bag is talking about persuasion, and perception being more important than reality. Since I don't really respect Peterson's opinions, saying Adams would be proud of his ability to sell them is not an attack on your boy Scott. Being able to sell a shitty idea while you work at something behind the scenes is something Adams is totally upfront about respecting.

I don't really see what you like about Peterson's positions, other than the fact that they seem to align with what you already thought before Peterson became a public figure. His ethical insights aren't even liberty based. They are a sort of crooked consequentialism based on the 'Darwinian survival' value of a given position, which would, presumably, mean jettisoning liberty if it could be shown to have negative or even neutral survival value.
