Seriously, dude. It's obvious that you didn't even read any of the articles about this. Your little condescending cynic shtick would be kinda cute if you weren't constantly stating falsehoods.
No I didn’t read any articles. I saw “Disney buying FOX”. Ain’t nobody got time to delve into the details like dat.
I do not constantly state falsehoods, that’s a bit harsh.
Disney is basically is buying everything from FOX. Like:
All of their TV IPs (like The Simpsons, Bob's Burgers, Archer, It's Always Sunny, American Horror Story, etc...)
Basically all of their channels, minus of course their news division and sports.
Disney is also buying up FOX's 30% of Hulu shares. Which now would make Disney the majority Shareholder of Hulu, with 60% of the shares (Disney currently owns, 30% of Hulu, NBC/Universal owns 30% Hulu, FOX before this deal owed 30% of Hulu).
Disney is going to own all of FOX"s movie. Including FOX's Searchlight division and Blue Sky Admination division. Basically, there was once 6 major film studios but after this deal, FOX Movie Studio is pretty much dead. Which means that their will only be 5 major film studios.
That Hulu stake will end up being the biggest get, in my opinion.
Most of my normie friends who pay for Netflix already have Hulu also.
This DIS shareholder approves.
I guess I should go easy on GCF. Being a shortie is already punishment enough...

Whoa lady, what are you doing posting actual information? GCF aint got time fo dat.
I am just doing my job about informing how they daily consumer is going to get fucked over by a monopoly in the near future. But at least we now could get that sought over Avengers vs. X-Men movie right?
You only get fucked over if you fork over your money.
Most of Disney's content is shit these days anyway, albeit popular shit. I find avoiding comic book movies easier than ever.

Chastise the fucking OP. False AND no link. At least I was right.
Havent heard from my fellow gator in awhile. Hows it going?
Not too bad, man. At least on the days I can avoid thinking about college football.
How bout yourself? Ever talk to our mutual tall brown friend?
Haven't talked to that guy in a while, a few years in fact. He was sharp as a whip and had great people skills though. It would not surprise me if he was pulling a six figure job right now. Very cool guy. Hard person not to like.
I havent been following our football program much, but Mullen is a great pick imo. We'll see how he turns out. I'm optimistic!

Calc man: I ran into a guy at work today who lived on my dorm floor sophomore year. He told me that another guy who lived on our floor died in a car accident in 2014, one year after he graduated. Crazy as fuck. I didn't know this guy well at all, though I did drive him to Cafe Risque one night because he was drunk then drove his car back to campus. He couldn't have been more than 23 when he passed. What a bummer.

Thing is, I love Netflix. It's got more television than I'd ever want to watch. But that doesn't justify anything near the 100x pe, or being the 'top gainer' stock for 3 years running.
Indeed, I like Netflix too, but as you say, the projections look much different, if they can't wholesale Star Wars & Co.
The Disney content is paying for the other content, they need to break out of Disney's world and mine other nerdy stuff of their very own. I mean, they're are plenty of SF franchises out there, which are untapped, the only way to hang with Luke Skywalker, is to come up with something new, and then go big time with the production values.
They need their own nerd niche, they can't keep dining out on established franchises.
They don't, though. There's almost no Disney content on there to begin with (much to the frustration of my kids), and other than Clone Wars, I don't think there's much of any Star Wars either. The Marvel license is the big cudgel that they can beat Netflix to death with.
The Disney streaming looks like a bit of a non-starter to me, though. I can see a bunch of millenials going for it, to get their superheroes, but that's never going to replace Netflix.
Are you fucking kidding me? How Disney has protected thier franchise classics with thier vault system is ripe for a streaming service. You'll have baby boomer grandparents and millenial parents throwing money at them to share Peter pan or Cinderella at their kids. And also Disney channel shows are all over Netflix kids, they can take that stuff too.

DIS owns more than just Cinderella, they own Touchstone, they own Miramax, and they own Pixar too. And now they own 21st Century Fox. On top of Marvel and Lucasfilm, that's a cash cow.
They also pay a dividend, which Netflix does not.

Netflix will have to pay exorbitant fees to stream their content to most broadband customers now, who use cable broadband, which is own by the cable companies, who have an interest in ruining Netflix in favor of their on demand services.

So then Netflix will have to invest in infrastructure....perhaps a cell based service? Honestly though - I think the damage to the cable companies is done and irreversible.....Wife now mostly watches good old over the air .....I'm guessing other households are similar....there's not much on cable I would actually pay for.....and if Streaming went away...there's always Plex.

People are going to switch off if this gets worse. Most people only have televisions because they use Netflix, Hulu, or Amazon streaming services. If that becomes unusable because the cable companies want to force you to use their services, then people will just get rid of the television for the most part.
I wouldn't discount that possibility that we go backwards, with people just leaving the Internet as well. This could potentially get pretty fucking bad.
