Meet the "New Media" same as the old media.DBTrek wrote:Glancing at his twitter feed he seems to be playing a lot of defense. I didn’t see anything here or there to convince me to listen. Sounds like same ol’ Trump bashing followed by shit like “I don’t want to paint antifa with a broad brush” (his Twitter).
Don’t need to listen to hear that. Every day my news feed is full of Trump bashing and Antifa sympathizing. That shit is called the regular ol’ media. I get enough without having to click on a podcast.

1. All speech should be protected no matter how offensive you may think it is because you never know when the other guy is gonna be in charge. He called free speech sacred.
2. One of the biggest problems America faces is the fact that we can't communicate with each other, we demonize each other, we attack each others' sources and dismiss each other.
3. I'm not sure how divided we actually are. Are the angry voices online a minority? Is foreign intelligence at play? Both?
4. A couple of sentences about Trump being the king narcissist in a profession entirely made up of narcissists. Check your head if you don't believe he's a not narcissist.
5. The NFL players kneeling story is a cash in for the media. Standing for the anthem is a contractual issue, but forcing people to be patriotic isn't really patriotic.
No antifa sympathizing at all, no calling Trump supporters fascists/nazis. He said the word fascist once, but only quoting the words of somebody who emailed him, a person with whom he disagreed.
Pretty tame actually, mostly Dan just saying that he doesn't know how to operate in a world were people won't talk to each and acknowledging that he's turning into an old geezer.

It's Bernie all over again. I know I might not be right, but my reaction is negative, and I'm wondering why it seems like a lot folks around here don't already see it.DBTrek wrote:As I said, twitter.doc_loliday wrote:No antifa sympathizing at all, no calling Trump supporters fascists/nazis.

It’s not bad DB
It’s uninspired dan being uninspired because his fans have asked him to say somethings.
It’s not bad or cringe worthy just not inspired.

I still wouldn't call it sympathizing even if a semantic argument could be made. He spent more time arguing with the people that email him trying to justify the curtailing of free speech and think that its okay to punch a nazi. It was really just more of Dan saying what Dan usually says, ie, "let's try to understand each other more, and stop demonizing each other so much."

Did he mention the hate index?
I made some 401k changes when he told me about it.

The hate may just be a Russian conspiracy.

What was the last good Common Sense show? Its been well over a year at least. Dan has lost it. It makes me pretty sad. He's become a total waste. HH is barely salvageable at this point.
