It's not, but disrespecting the national anthem is anti-American, not my fault they decided to both at the same time and rub people the wrong way, that's their fault.pineapplemike wrote:Whoa hold on, since when is protesting anything anti-American?StCapps wrote:Why wouldn't he? Never mind half the teams were insolvent. I know a liberal has a hard time with this but a business, and that is what this is, can't survive in the red.Penner wrote:

Trump will win this one, easily. Most of the people who watch NFL are sick of this bullshit.

Yes, Trump killed the USFL and surely be alive to this day. Nevermind the XFL, WFL, even the AFL.Penner wrote:

Well, whatever happens, the Chargers and Rams are gonna end up busted again. We can all be happy about that.

They're free to protest, the NFL is free to sideline em, Trump is free to reinforce his pro-America narrative but I just don't buy the anti-American assertion.StCapps wrote:It's not, but disrespecting the national anthem is anti-American, not my fault they decided to both at the same time and rub people the wrong way, that's their fault.pineapplemike wrote:Whoa hold on, since when is protesting anything anti-American?StCapps wrote:Why wouldn't he? I bet that one of the reasons I don't watch the NFL or other sports is so that I don't have to sit through another tedious rendition of some song I was forced to salute to and recite throughout my years in public school. I support America, the principles it was founded on and the sacrifices of untold amounts of people to provide my generation with all of the luxuries we enjoy, but I couldn't really give a shit about the national anthem.
I guess I'm getting the same vibes I got when people opposed to the PATRIOT Act were deemed to be un-patriotic

I don't think the Chargers are even going to make it until the new stadium is done.Okeefenokee wrote:Well, whatever happens, the Chargers and Rams are gonna end up busted again. We can all be happy about that.
