I think he was just fortunate that the home invader with the shotgun never had any intention of actually shooting somebody.

The dog was pretty useless.

Anybody who invades my home would be forced to shoot at the larger dog (if they had enough time). He's friendly enough outside, but he's not cool with strangers coming into the house. At all. 120 lbs of angry American bulldog is actually a bit frightening.
