Yeah cos without automatic weapons how are you expected to hit wild pigs from your helicopter.
So you still don't understand that he did *not* use automatic wrapons?
Not to mention you can take an AR-15 and make it fully auto pretty easily. As in, anyone can do it if you're not a retard who can't tell how a mechanism works by watching it.
You can prattle on about guns all you want but the same amount of slaughter can take place with a fucking truck, as we've seen.
The biggest school massacre happened with a bomb.
You can do all of these things without being some kind of genius. Quit pretending this is about safety and admit it's because guns scare you on a level that defies logic.

Making an AR-15 an automatic is easy, the hard part is knowing the correct way of doing it.

When I was with my first unit I got made the unit armorer so I spent hours and hours just screwing around.
Technically I wasn't supposed to though. You're not supposed to be taking certain things apart unless your depot level.

That's the point though, bet you learned a lot?
The average person though still wouldn't know how to make an AR-15 into an automatic without someone telling them what to do so they don't screw up the lower, or the mechanisms, or the chamber, etc...

The point is no one taught me, I screwed with it. If I have an AR-15 and I'm planning a rampage, I could take the time to figure it out. Without posting online how to do it lol, it's a simple mechanism. Doesn't take a genius, or someone very bright for that matter.

You aren't the norm then... most people I've seen with a gun barely have the wherewithal to actually point it down range when at one.

It's just comfort level. It comes with experience.
I always had people tell me they couldn't be a soldier like I was and my response always was that they definitely could. May not be the best Soldier, but everyone can unless they have some physical disability.
Guns only spook people because they take on some kind of mystical death dealing quality. If you look at it like any other item with moving parts it quickly becomes obvious most guns are rather simple.
Take that same person nervous at the range a few times and have them take apart the weapon while explaining how all the components work they will quickly adapt.
If I forced someone who hates guns to hunt their own food, they'd quickly lose their hatred and fear and look at it as another tool because they will become familiar.
As with most our societal issues, they come about because people have time to worry about all kinds of shit other than feeding themselves like we are designed to do.

You are talking to the choir, I have my license to carry/conceal in Mass... know how hard it is to get that? LOL...
That being said, most people just are ignorant, and they like it that way, which makes it dangerous for someone who isn't. When I was teaching people how to fence, the most dangerous people were the ones that knew nothing. The ones that knew what they were doing were some of the safest people to be around.
It's the uneducated that are the most dangerous.

So then, you would support a mandatory training of some sort, before guns could be purchased?
Also - the same holds true for poker. Idiots are unbeatable at a poker table, especially in numbers.

Come on Vik, you can do better than that. Why would I be scared of guns. We have guns here on the farm. I have shot guns. Wanting to restrict certain kinds of weapons is not the same as being scared of all guns.
Sure trucks can be used to kill people, that's why security bollards are going up all over Europe. That's what responsible govts do after a massacre, they take measures to stop it happening again.
For legal reasons, we are not threatening to destroy U.S. government property with our glorious medieval siege engine. But if we wanted to, we could. But we won’t. But we could.
