Those anti-aircraft spears are very effective.
For legal reasons, we are not threatening to destroy U.S. government property with our glorious medieval siege engine. But if we wanted to, we could. But we won’t. But we could.

Is that from the 1066 re-enactments last year?
Look like Saxon shields but can't spot any Normans.

We discussed it on DCF several years ago. I don't know when it was filmed, but it certainly was before a year ago.Montegriffo wrote:Is that from the 1066 re-enactments last year?

I sort of remember it being in Russia, though I am not certain of that. It's been a long time.

I'd be pretty surprised if Russians hold large gatherings in Western European medieval garb...Speaker to Animals wrote:We discussed it on DCF several years ago. I don't know when it was filmed, but it certainly was before a year ago.Montegriffo wrote:Is that from the 1066 re-enactments last year?

Uh.. they were dressed up like Slavs, dude.
Some of them were dressed up like Scandinavians, maybe. Which would support the notion this is Russia.

Those appear to be Norman helmets on the spearmen - nose guard and all. Also, there's a princess with a flowing white veil - not Slavic.Speaker to Animals wrote:GrumpyCatFace wrote:I'd be pretty surprised if Russians hold large gatherings in Western European medieval garb...Speaker to Animals wrote:

The chain mail and leggings are classic European, though I concede they could be a Slavic look, though centuries after the European Normans.
Shields are Saxon, suggesting that this is a reenactment of the Battle of Hastings - likely in Britain.
Lastly, Russians can't afford drones. If they could, they'd probably be imprisoned or shot for breaking one.
This is a history forum, motherfucker. Act like it.
