Apparently, a big part of the Great Depression was that this ‘bank holiday’ meant that they shut down ALL banks to stop the runs. Then only reopened some ‘preferred’ banks. The rest were left closed and the depositors lost everything. But their mortgages were still due.

How we avoided a general uprising is beyond me.

All across the Western US you can go into small and tiny towns and you still see standing those old local banks that served the communities. They were named Miners Bank, Farmers, Stockmans, or even County Bank. Let no crisis go to waste I guess.

Makes one wonder if the supporters of the and their Central Bank ilk jumped in and used their own F up to their advantage to take more control.

That’s the thing - it wasn’t a fuckup.

Think of it this way - private consortium of bankers pushed for legislation to shut down all banks in the USA. Then same consortium decided which ‘preferred hanks’ to re-capitalize. Everybody outside the ‘preferred circle’ and their depositors went bust.

Greatest heist until 1971, which was the greatest until 2008. Now they’re hungry again.

It would require a total state of chaos. Like currency-collapsing, wheelbarrows of cash chaos. They claim ownership of whatever value exists in the corporations - the actual physical capital. But how you'd reach that point, and expect property rights to survive is beyond me. Maybe hiring private armies to secure and hold it?

I can't imagine what the actual plan is, but it's ugly as hell.
