gen x latchkey kid, I took the family thing where I could find it

I'd be invited to my Eyetalian friends house for "supper"

that would be an all night party on the front lawn, big table with citronella toches all round

all the females were there, daughters, sisters, mothers, grandmothers

they were all cooking and cleaning and serving

then us guys just sat around the table, while they brought us course after course of food and drink

we just partied, rowdy, all night long, loud & boisterous with the girls attending to us

until we had flaming Sambuca's with coffee beans in them brought to us, at dawn
