The Pens played well against the Trap. Pens should have this series in 6. Now if the Pens go on to win the Cup will you finally STFU StCapps? Or will you go on about how horrible the Pens and the Eastern Conference is?

Oh I'll keep shitting on the Eastern Conference, just like I did last year when I predicted the Pens would win the cup, especially once I knew the were facing the San Jose Chokes in the final. One team does not a conference make, neither does two. Better teams and better hockey in the West, the only reason you disagree is because your team is in the Eastern Conference and you want pretend your team is better than they are by inflating the competition they've beaten. If you are enjoying the Eastern Conference Final more, that's because you have a dog in the race, not because it's more exciting hockey.

Also all the best teams in the East are in the Metro division and Atlantic is by far the weakest division. Top heavy, not very deep, that's the East, in a nutshell. The NFC is better and deeper than the AFC, the Patriots winning the superbowl doesn't change that. The Western Conference is way better than the Eastern Conference in the NBA, the Cavs winning the Championship last year doesn't change that either.

See how that works? Not all conferences in major stick and ball sports are created equal or stay equal over time, so stop pretending that they are in the case of hockey, because you wish it were so. Everyone should not get a trophy.
