Seriously, fuck these people. Trump ain't draining shit, except for your children's veins.Few things would be nicer than seeing the new administration begin to gut some of the federal bloat, especially as it pertains to the unchecked climate hysteria agenda of the past eight years. Sadly, Trump has already met with Al Gore and Leonardo DiCaprio to discuss the climate lunacy, so that's hardly an indicator that a wholesale purge is forthcoming.
If the work being done by these people is truly important, what are they afraid of? Bureaucrats aren't entitled to their jobs for life, despite what they might think.

For me to totally dismiss the CIA's assessment I have to create a believable narrative using my relative lack of knowledge which makes sense.
To make sense, the narrative must start with a "why".
Why would the CIA attempt to paint RU as a villain and RU/Trump as co-conspirators? Couple of believable answers...
1. To de-legitimize the president elect, so to weaken his ability to enact policy.
This sounds like a reasonable belief. Begs the question what policies the CIA are concerned with and why would they choose to begin a relationship with future POTUS on such a damaging note?
2. To attempt to upset the electoral college vote.
A tad crazier than the first unless they know enough about the chosen electors that they feel with the right "encouragement" enough electors could be flipped to make a difference. Possible I guess. I mean, I am sure there are quite of few Never Trump electors who would be easily identified. Makes more sense to me to take this all the way and attempt to get Trump tossed than put you organization at odds with POTUS on day 1.
3. Imagine if the "CIA" really only consist of Mike Morrell and his network of friends. You know, the ones who probably spent the last year picking out offices under the belief that HRC would win easily and Morrell was on track to be appointed head guy at the agency. Now they are mad and possibly scared of being posted in Siberia so they are attempting to undermine any structural changes to intel agencies Trump might suggest by creating a narrative that Trump just want's to limit the CIA's budget to XXX and give more to DHS because he loves Putin and is being vindictive.
Certainly the craziest, but to me it is most believable.
IMO this is more in line with a Hanoi Jane moment. Is this the fascist we were warned about??? "When fascism comes to America, it will be wrapped in the flag"ssu wrote:Funny how the conspiratorial discourse of the right / alt-right is getting sooo popular. Hate seems to be very hip now.
Here's Keith Olberman's close to an epic rant from few days ago: "End of the US as an independent nation" is nearing.
Yep, the Alex Jones' type of vision of the World is getting popular ...with those opposite side of the political spectrum.

...yes, perhaps not the way to tackle the issue.
