Florida loses, again
As pathetic as the Loafs are, the Panther's fail to take advantage

2nd was close. Overall it "felt" like Felder got it done but either way was fine with me. Scorecards were all over the place. Once again...

Yeah second was swingy. Worst scorecard of the three is the guy who scored it for Felder while giving him the third and not the second, both Hooker scorecards are perfectly acceptable.Haumana wrote: Sun Feb 23, 2020 12:26 am2nd was close. Lulz, Loafs Nation is freaking out.
They are who we thought they were, there can be no more delusions
The Laziest Team In Hockey is not hyperbole.
Why are they so lethargic ?
I would say they are simply buckling under the pressure of expectations, particularly in light of their big contracts
Matthews & Marner are clearly trying to put up numbers to justify their contracts, flaming out by taking shortcuts
So it's the Toronto Disease, which is not a curse, but rather a pathology
They can get away with it early in the season when the league is loose, they can get their cookies then
but as things tighten up down the stretch they get exposed as having no structure
Matthews & Marner lone ranger rushes to stick handle all the way through the other team, doesn't work in the end
The other teams are just trapping, picking them off resulting in non stop odd man rushes against Fredo
Which they don't have the defensive depth to deal with, so they just get caved in
And this is why you can't score your way to a Stanley Cup.
At the core the issue is the arrogance of youth, Matthews & Marner don't do what the coaches tell them to do
They didn't do what Babcock wanted, that got him fired, now they are ignoring Keefe
So the inmates are running the asylum, because nobody has the balls to bench them

McKenzie: Chances of Leafs trading Barrie “greatly enhanced”
#94 may not make it through one full season in Toronto, it turns out.

Dubas stands pat at the deadline, goes with the girls that brung him
Reaquires Calle Rosen from Colorado for Hutchison, the Hutch era is over, the Rosen era resumes
Signs Jake Muzzin to a 4 year extension at $5.65 million AAV
Really has no choice, they have no replacement for Muzzin, but they traded a lot for him as well
It's about as good a deal as could be hoped for with a 31 year old Muzzin, four years at five and change
This team's not really contending, so better to just keep your powder dry, can't be fixed overnight
