Re: Another School Shooting
Pretty sure if any of us ran a private school, security would be more effective than what the bureaucrats provide, and if it's not, we'd be shutting down rather quickly.
I think, however, the assertion that kids would be safe from mass shootings by privatizing schools is a mistake. Obviously it could still happen.

The government is the root of social problems...Kath wrote:Is it run by the government? If yes, Occam says that is what Fife considers the primary issue.DrYouth wrote:So high schools in general then...Fife wrote:Nothing.
That's the root of the problem.
So we should just do away with it then.
Save me a lot of taxes... but then of course there would be the anarchy to contend with...

Shall we take a moment and imagine a private school run by STA...Speaker to Animals wrote:Pretty sure if any of us ran a private school, security would be more effective than what the bureaucrats provide, and if it's not, we'd be shutting down rather quickly.

What would it be called?

Social alienation and the disintegration of the community is the root of the problem in this particular issue.

No worries. I actually like conversation more than debate most of the time here. No offense to anyone, but the conversation (and the information), when it can be had is better than the "debate."DrYouth wrote:Sorry Fife...Fife wrote:I've only said it about a million times.

I can only hazard a guess at what you mean by "anarchy," but I flatly dispute that the state is needed to own, administer, and compel attendance at the point of a gun at "schools."DrYouth wrote:The government is the root of social problems...Kath wrote:Is it run by the government?
