Must be hard on the kids.DrYouth wrote: ↑Mon Jun 18, 2018 8:31 amThe wife took our son to some bird watching event for the weekend...
So it was just my daughter and I.
We had a great weekend... until they got back.
Then all hell broke loose.
Marriage is roller coaster with no safety harness and drunk carnies operating the ride.

For legal reasons, we are not threatening to destroy U.S. government property with our glorious medieval siege engine. But if we wanted to, we could. But we won’t. But we could.

Life's a wild ride.... what can I say.
No options at this point that aren't going to be "hard on the kids"...

I know your pain.
It’s probably a bit easier for me, because I don’t have to maintain an actual “relationship” with the woman. But they become completely unstable as they age.

I'm not sure that makes it any easier really...SuburbanFarmer wrote: ↑Mon Jun 18, 2018 12:28 pmI know your pain.

The only thing that keeps me going is compassion for the woman.
And once the dust settles it goes back to being good.
She wore herself out driving the boy for hours to some event where she got mosquito bitten and exhausted...
The resentment for the self sacrifice got the better of her... and the stage was set.
Annoying AF for sure...
But we'll be good in a couple of days.
In the meantime I got a couple of days reprieve and the girl and I had some good times.
She drives my wife nuts but we get on just fine when it's the two of us... So a pretty decent father's day all told.

We always seem to cause everything that's wrong in female lives. Powerful beings are we.DrYouth wrote: ↑Mon Jun 18, 2018 1:01 pmI'm not sure that makes it any easier really...SuburbanFarmer wrote: ↑Mon Jun 18, 2018 12:28 pmI know your pain.

I didn't get any of the blame yesterday...SuburbanFarmer wrote: ↑Mon Jun 18, 2018 1:58 pmWe always seem to cause everything that's wrong in female lives. Powerful beings are we.
More that I had to endure blowouts between my wife and the kids.
Unnecessary blowouts... caused by her self inflicted exhaustion...
The first half of Father's Day was pretty sweet though....

There exists a certain type (rare) of feminist woman who avoids this blame game, which is just the effect of hypoagency (men are responsible for women and possess the hyperagency to act upon the world for the woman's benefit). These women take agency seriously and just handle shit like we do. They are pretty rare these days, since most feminists are hypoagency on steroids (or weaponized estrogen, I suppose).
