No fan of the Sheppard Turpin Enfield me, but the British, Australian, and New Zealand SAS did employ the fully suppressed models, from WWII to Vietnam, but again, MP5; problem solved.

Hmm. One other gun I used to own was a "GI" issue Springfield 1911 (made in Brazil variant.) Hated that gun. Only one I'm glad to have sold. Stove piped on everyone that shot it, "oh well you're limp wristing it,"

The sights are a fucking joke and all that recoil for what? A hollow point 9mm parabellum does just as much damage to ballistic gel as a 45 acp. Plus you can hold two and a half more times rounds in a full size. Fuck .45 tbh

Glock 21 is alright by me, I'm no fan of classic guns nor classic cars, whether gun or car, I'll go with state o' the art, thanks.

No thoughts on 9mm? I was heavily biased towards anything that has a 3,4 or 5 in it but I've seen a lot of good things with modern 9mm loads. I'll always have a soft spot for .357 wheel guns, but man I can't afford S&W and I refuse to buy Taurus.

Pistol round is not that important to me, I'm fine with 9x19mm, .40S&W, .45ACP, whatevs, more about the platform than the round, I have no time for 1911's or Browning HP's, Keep It Simple Stupid, I'll just take the Glock, ain't broke don't fix it.

Have you ever fired a thompson or a garand? If so, how do they stack up against the German and Russian guns from the era?

Yes
The Thompson was a short range weapon, accuracy of about 6 inches at 200 yards. US Military Thompson had half the fire rate of the civilian models, by request of the War Department, and the Cutts Compensator that helped reduce barrel rise. The weight helped too.

Supposedly there is a block that will chamber two rounds and function fine but it's not recommended. I want to say it may be the 40 or 357 sig or something. Another benefit to owning blocks, very popular. That means you never buy anything new wether it's a tac light or a holster, it's always on the market. Even the block is, never buy a new one. And when it's time to sell you know what it's worth and will have no problems selling.
