Newly acquired Denis Malgin slots in on the fourth line to start with Spezza and Clifford
If he adds the spark Dubas and McFarlane are hoping he will, he might get moved up
Could also take somebodies spot on the second power play if he gels with Spezza
The game meal for tonight is Beef Stroganoff

Why are they buying an offense player when it is defence where their weakness is?Smitty-48 wrote: ↑Thu Feb 20, 2020 4:43 pmNewly acquired Denis Malgin slots in on the fourth line to start with Spezza and Clifford

For legal reasons, we are not threatening to destroy U.S. government property with our glorious medieval siege engine. But if we wanted to, we could. But we won’t. But we could.

There's no defenseman which the Leafs want who are available at a price Dubas is willing to payMontegriffo wrote: ↑Thu Feb 20, 2020 4:46 pm

The Leafs only have three players other teams are interested in, Sandin, Liljegren and Robertson
That's the best and only real "A" grade prospects the Leafs have left in their depth chart
Dubas doesn't want to trade the future away for a short term fix
In the offseason the Leafs hired the Florida Panther's assistant coach, Paul McFarlane
He's familiar with Malgin and he thinks Malgin has more to give, and Dubas obviously agreed
They're trying to get the team going, they're hoping Malgin can add some energy and maybe boost the powerplay
Right now Keefe is sending him out with Tavares and Nylander, so Malgin is being played in Kerfoot's spot
Kerfoot having degenerated into a dead weight player at this point, he's been doing nothing for weeks now,

The Loafs are still playing in a fog and running around in their own zone, soft as warm baby shit
Even if this team wants to be better, they just can't help themselves, they don't have the right mix of players
Pens playing a good road game right now, laying back and waiting for the Loafs to cough the puck up again
Nylander gets rolled, Pens counter attack, Malgin takes a penalty under pressure as the Pens blow by him

Better start than Tuesday night. Keeping faith with Andersen hasn't let them down so far. 6 saves in the power play.

Jake Muzzin manages to clank one off the post and in, 1-0 Schloafs
Maybe they'll loosen up now, because they are still playing nervous, skating on egg shells
They're inside their own heads, and it's like a fog
