Sure it is. The "Resistance" has been reduced to bootlicking and tattling on their fellow citizens to that government they called "corrupt" and "tyrannical" only months ago.Speaker to Animals wrote: ↑Mon May 04, 2020 1:47 pmIt is pretty much one-sided thus far. The libs had their moment in the sun after the 2016 election, but now it's time for the conservatives to lose their shit apparently. It's fucking nuts out there.
These people really believe it's a hoax or just a flu. You can't even begin to penetrate the insanity either. They are running on bad math and absolute certainty in their ignorance. Which, obviously, is most people regardless of ideology, but this is their moment to shine. Maybe the libs will catch up. Who knows.

It's the Atlantic. They write that kind of shit every day.Hanarchy Montanarchy wrote: ↑Mon May 04, 2020 1:36 pmWe have Ibram X. Kendi writing an article for The Atlantic that compares people protesting shelter-in-place to slaveholders.
There is plenty of crazy and unreasonable to go around.Slaveholders desired a state that wholly secured their individual freedom to enslave, not to mention their freedom to disenfranchise, to exploit, to impoverish, to demean, and to silence and kill the demeaned. The freedom to. The freedom to harm. Which is to say, in coronavirus terms, the freedom to infect.

People going crazy was to be expected. That is what happens when even the stupid ones figure out that the media is full of shit.
They start to invent their own reality. The root problem is bad religion. Not lack of religion, that doesn't exist.
Religion is what we turn to when we find ourselves in chaos. It's the focal point upon we fix our gaze in order to steady our mind.
Republicans taking up arms against perceived oppression and liberals getting naked in the park, flaunting their bodies, should surprise no one.

and it's not just the folks in the street. The elected and appointed leaders are doing likewise.
The proto-tyrants have been the most revealing to me. From cops working overtime to take down some chick doing speakeasy hair dressing to Governors banning the growing of vegetables.
