The big thing that really changed for me, since the last two Olympics, is that the Leafs don't suck anymore, the Leafs are actually on the march, and making some real progress for a change, so at this point, sending the Leafs big guns to Korea, would just be a big pain in ass to no particular utility to the Leafs.

So bring back the Canada Cup, problem solved.

Call it what you want, I want best on best national teams, Soviets or no Soviets. Having the Soviets would be great, that is the one gimmick team I could support, but not having them is not a dealbreaker to me.

The World Cup is a pale imitation, fuck Team North America Young Stars, and the horse they rode in on, plus that other bullshit Eurogimmick Team too.
