If you made football national team based, the US would kill everyone and Canada would kill everyone who isn't the US. You are comparing apples and oranges, the sports are not the same when it comes to parity. Some regions are better soccer than others, if you don't know that, you're don't know shit about soccer. There is no division in the NFL that is as terrible CONCACAF, and there is no division in football as awesome as UEFA.
