Ford backed down, so that might save him

that's what he's trying to do, he's showing his neck, capitulating, hoping that will save him

there is a provincial election coming up very soon, just weeks away, so he could split the difference

did enough not to get the opposition base fired up, while caving to the truckers in time to save himself

he blustered a lot, but he never followed through on any of his threats

he only passes the act of law, he isn't governor, he can't order the police around

and since the police who decide how & what to do, didn't actually doing anything, they were friendly & lawful

the cops basically saved Ford from himself

As I've said continuously, the only way this is going to work in the people's favor is if all members that started this are removed. If Trudeau gets a vote of no confidence, what happens then? The answer is simple, the PM and the party that he is part of (in theory) are removed from power.

All I can say is it better work because if not, it's going to bite everyone in the ass.

What I mean is if the military refuse to obey the PM's orders, the PM becomes effectively powerless.
