And you see, the world is not a very big place, the world is a rather small place in the grand scheme of things, so Russo-Eurasian Empire to the one side, Sino-Asian empire to the other, is no more acceptable than the Franco-Spanish slave state in cahoots with the British Crown.

Where do we get to the part where you faggots acknowledge the fact that you invaded our territory first, along with your little savage buddies, raping and pillaging across the western territories, murdering every last white person in settlements like Fort Dearborn?
That's the million dollar question. Because right now you sound like Japanese arguing American attacked them out of the blue.

Well, I just said that America was imperiled on all sides, which is why America had to try to take the threats out, preemptively.
Just wash rinse repeat that, from the continent to the world writ large, and he we are, where we are now.

I'm not the one here saying that America is not imperiled, I'm the one saying that America is imperiled, it's the hippie dippie Neo Isolationists who say no biggie, but I would submit that that is rather naive.

I know they didn't fight for liberty.Smitty-48 wrote:No, Spain didn't fight for liberty, no empire in history has ever fought for liberty, that is what American exceptionalism is all about.Viktorthepirate wrote:Spain was the same way for different reasons. And it changed. So can we.Smitty-48 wrote:
Ah, but it's not death which America is out to save the world from, but rather tyranny.
Though I'd say your right about it taking a catastrophe.
But they were a crusader nation sticking their fingers into everything. Italy, Netherlands, New World etc...
They were the super power of their age.
Their attitudes changed.

I mean, if America ever allows Westphalia to get the upper hand again upon the Shot Heard Round the World? Oh, no, America cannot allow that, payback would be a bitch.

Their attitudes didn't change, they were simply laid low by the Americans, the French and the British, if the Spanish could have their empire back, they'd take it in a heartbeat, make no mistake, but thanks to Roosevelt, Bonaparte and Wellington, their empire has been reduced to nothing more than Spanish Morocco now.

Re: Current US Military
How the fuck could Spain be a crusader state when it didn't even exist back then, and what European people who did live there at the time were mostly occupied and enslaved by Muslims?
They had only just driven the Muslims the fuck out when Ferdinand and Isabella made Spain a thing. The same year Columbus discovered America I think was the last of Muslim rule over any portion of the Iberian peninsula.
The master race for crusader states was all the German principalities. England and France came in second. Scandinavians third.
I'd love to create another crusader state. That's what we need. We don't have anything like that now.

If you don't think the Spanish are royalist imperialist militarists, you don't know the Spanish, Spain is an empire in of itself, held together by the iron jackboot, to this very day in fact.
The Basque, the Catalans? Liberty for them from the Spanish Crown? Never, says Castillo.
