Apparently one gung-ho social media star that was on the scene wasn't so gung-ho after all.

I know the comment in reference and I'd love to tell you that its likely but when listened to in context I am more likely to think he was about to say "Steve was an army of one". He was talking about how independent his brother was and how he wouldn't have needed any help.

I watched it all and disagree. He was talking about the shooter's character and I'm pretty sure he started to call him an "Army- _____". After saying "Arm-" he cut himself off and apologized then said he was going to say something disrespectful to the armed services. I don't know what he would have said, anyone got ideas for derogatory Army phrases?

QRD of things that stood out to me:
He says that 100k to the Philippines is nothing. It's a trivial amount of money and that not everyone works at Taco Bell.

He calls his brother an "angry person" but says it was fun to hang out with him because he was rich and would spend generously on his friends and family, but he had few friends. The brother says that he went to a restraunt with his son and the shooter where they ate thousands of dollars of sushi like it was no big deal.

He hopes that the shooter had a brain tumor, doesn't know what other explanation there could be.

His mother wants the shooter's ashes and the brother acts a bit indignant that the government is holding his body.

He said "You can't say anything bad about him now that he's dead". I understand "don't speak ill of the dead" but this was bizarre to hear and the brother compares himself to the families of the victims by saying he feels like they do and he lost a family member too.

The brother did "bad stuff" as a teen but has no criminal record because he always did it with people that were stupider than he was.

He says his brother made his living in Vegas by playing slots. Weird that he says slots instead of any game of skill.

Brother says "I'm not guilty for being successful". He speaks highly of the shooter and says the shooter made his mother and himself wealthy but he doesn't say how. The brother worked a job he hated and is also wealthy.

Brother mistakenly refers to shooter's gf as "Maryanne" instead of "Marylou".

Brother doubts the shooter would use the bump stock or carry guns to the room because he was getting weak and frail. He thinks the shooter would have tipped a bellboy well to have him carry it and that he'd use a bipod or something to brace the gun.

That's refreshing to hear actually. People should be calling that dude out if half he's shtick it about shooting guns and always claiming be so close to passing BUDs etc.
