Erdogan is a theocratic muslim piece of shit. If you are a western politician and you accept money from those sorts of people, you already have limited credibility. Its the same reason why I was pissed when the Clinton foundation took money from Saudi Arabia. If Flynn had wanted to represent regional Islamic interests, he should have run for office in Turkey. What he did was inexcusable.

. You do realize that the Turkish military has basically been doing coups every 10 years or so to prevent that type of Islamic mentality from spreading right? I don't live there so I can't fully weigh in, but Ataturk basically anticipated this and gave the military an oversized role in Turkish affairs to try and move Turkey into a place where it could compete with the West. Ataturk is one of the few third world modernizers who I can respect, even though I don't agree with a lot of what he did. Erdogan is basically destroying Ataturk's legacy.
