The CIA and the FBI seemingly can't agree over why Russian hackers targeted the inboxes of prominent Democrats and Democratic organizations in 2016.
In a secret assessment - the content of which has been leaked to the press via high-level officials briefed on the intelligence - the CIA said the Russians were working toward a specific goal: "to help get Trump elected."
Lazy. They operate on the assumption that the traces left behind were Russian. Why would a Russian hacker use a program with cyrodillic characters and leave traces to a Russian VPN?
Russian hackers said to have broken into Democratic Party computers left a digital trace to show that Moscow is a cyber force to be reckoned with, US security officials have claimed.

That's the best guess they are proffering. Those tools used in the malware attack had already been released to the general hacking community for over a year.
They don't know how Assange obtained the leaks or hacks and they don't know for sure Russia was even in the DNC archive. It could have been 4chan for all they really know.

Any fall out from Trump slagging off the CIA yet?
For legal reasons, we are not threatening to destroy U.S. government property with our glorious medieval siege engine. But if we wanted to, we could. But we won’t. But we could.

Meeting wise? No. I think he said he's smarter than them and has other things to do.

Dangerous, I think it's a mistake taking them on, not in a Dallas '63 way but politically.

Half past twelve. Im winding down. You're not keeping me up so much as keeping me distracted from my "triggering lefties" duties on twitter. I'm trying to make a name for myself but I haven't had any success. This weekend I'm putting some real effort in.

Being forced to take the rest of my vacay days this month. I have two four day weekends back to back and I don't like it. I can't be left to my own devices.

Try drinking tea, it's great, much better than pouring it in the harbour.
