How many Americans die of organ failure from smoking, prescription drugs side effects, unhealthy foods, unprotected sex? How many elderly die of any number of things? How many Americans die in horrible auto accidents and are paralyzed for life? What is the death toll for cancer? What about hepatitis and AIDS?


The reason this country is great is because we collectively know these things and still live our lives. Liberty is far more important than some 80 year old dying. Period.

That's my favorite thing about this too. If Chink Flu didn't kill these old people they would live forever. If they don't live forever, we need to keep banning freedoms and activities until they do because that is totally reasonable.

A few folks on here thought they were soo clever because they were freaked out about this non issue and said the media wasn't covering it which indicated some conspiracy. Now, not only do we have the media blasting panic! panic! panic! info into our airwaves nonstop, but we also see the actual numbers (ie: fatalities vs cases number infected etc) we realize how silly all this is. Looks like you all followed the retard terror script just like you were supposed to. So much for not being brainwashed by the media and deep state. Italy ain't America. As Fife has posted, they have a god awful socialized economy style healthcare system, with an old ass population, and are the least vaccinated in Europe. That country is a trainwreck, and has been a joke for its entire existence. Sicily and Sardinia routinely have power outages. They are some kind of socialist, mobbed up, medieval peasant culture hybrid. I can only call it like I see it.

Its funny too. You watch the media here and they just try to scare you. Nonstop. They give no actual facts. Just some handsome news anchors with $300 haircuts telling us to do what the govt tells us and edit clips of Trump's speeches. They refuse to give specific info. I want a specific ass breakdown. The people who died, ages, sexual orientation, smoker vs non smoker, length of symptoms, women vs men, race region etc. Instead of handling this info in a rational fashion, they just use stupid scare stories or show snapchat videos of cars going by wishing this kid with coronavirus a happy birthday (they played that clip two days in a row).

The reason for this vague filler shit is because they just want us to become infants and swallow everything they feed us. They want us to shelter up like panicked animals and not question why we didn't do this bullshit for H1N1 or SARS or frankly why we don't treat the regular flu every year with such severity.

Well, that's just some opportunistic partisan claptrap with a bit of nationalistic xenophobia thrown in.
Italy has one of the best healthcare systems in the world by whatever metric you choose to use.

The reason we didn't do this bullshit for SARS is that this virus flew past the total worldwide deaths numbers of SARS before it even got out of Wuhan province.
I get it, you're still young. You go to more weddings than funerals and still think that cramming yourself into crowded noisy bars chasing tail is the pinnacle of human existence.

I still don't think his predictions about hundreds of millions of deaths will come true and I really hope I'm right about that but his advice about prepping seems more and more prophetic as the shelves empty and borders lockdown.

Ill act as STA intermediary. I was on the prep parade in early February but to really prep you got to be in that game for years. Anyway there is no smug or i told you so to this post. I hope yall pull through and we end up at the other end the better for it. There will be a lot of dead and permanently changed by this thing. Organ failure, complications etc. Jobs , short term prospects etc. we aren't going to be back to normal for at least another two years imo.

Well, I turned out to be an accidental prepper anyway. My professional kitchen wagon had cupboards full of dried goods such as catering bags of pasta and red lentils. I've only been shopping responsibly for a few tins and dried yeast. I've bought just 8 toilet rolls since the panic started and I've still got half of them left.

Why are you using China as a metric for healthcare or anything? Are you honestly surprised that more Chinese people died than in Europe. It wasn't long ago when tens of millions of them weren't even eating. They haven't suddenly become a good place to live or anything.

I haven't used China as a metric for healthcare. I've just called out the partisan bs about Italy's socialised healthcare system. Check it out, google healthcare systems ranking by nation. Most have Italy in 2nd place behind France. The WHO has the US down in 38th behind some South American shithole nations.
BTW, the cases of CV19 in Italy have passed the numbers China is admitting to now.
