Depends who you ask. And when it comes to Jewish there is an important distinction. Ashkenazi Jews are pretty European, Sephardic jews are basically Arabs. And Italians are white with a beautiful tan.

There is some debate wether ashkenazi Jews are even semetic at all. I've seen it proven and disproven genetically by people that know more about it than me. As Dr Y stated, his Spanish ancestors regarded Sephardic Jews as being Arabic which isn't far off the mark, though incorrect if I'm not mistaken. They are semetic like the Arab invaders so for the Spaniards to regard them both as Arabic seems natural. The Sephardic people are from an earlier migration and probably represent what were biblical era Hebrews much more closely than the ashkenazi who's earliest recorded entry in the history books is from around 800 ad in the works of Ibn Fadlan. What I find remarkable, however closely related the tribes are, is the almost identical nature in which they act within host nations. Something to be said for the Jewish nature.

Oh and ashkenazi are basically khazars. Some people think they are an offshoot of an Iranian exodus.

Yeah I'm with Fife on this one. I don't need any sjw corporation to let me know I'm white. I let my skin and eye color tell me all I need to know. More fun to be had tracing down names tbh. If anyone wants to fork over their most personal information might as well give it to the Mormons that run ancestry.com. be warned, the CIA is overrun by Mormons so you should probably aboid giving your personal information to anyone let alone your credit card number. Same goes for buying books from Amazon.
