What in your opinion would be an acceptable response? This is NYC - if someone gets in your face then you’re going to get right back in theirs. He knows that. I’m actually assuming the guy has some kind of mental illness or was just having a extremely bad day, because it’s so crazy to do something like that in one of the most language diverse cities in earth. I personally would have thought ‘crazy person’ and left.

He may very well have some sort of mental illness. I've certainly had more than a few meltdowns in public. I'm glad my life didn't get destroyed because of it.
