I’ve shown they do.

Moving goal posts to “Small businesses make jobs too” is meaningless, since the entire back and forth was over whether or not the rich create jobs.

They do.
The worldview espousing that the rich do not create jobs is probably false.

They create jobs. They also destroy jobs with monopolistic practices and bribing our government into job offshoring deals. On the whole, I'd say they are a strict negative in terms of jobs.

In terms of technological progress and productivity, they are a solid positive.

You have to balance things out somehow. What good is having all the best technology when a huge percentage of the population is jobless, dead broke, and scrambling for some form of welfare?

If the reality becomes that we don’t need 12 billion people, then we won’t need 12 billion people.

However, whether or not we need 12 billion people relies solely upon the innovation and technological implementation of people, therefore we’re the ones in control of our own obsolescence.

Aka - not worried about it. We decide whether or not AI takes over, and how much it takes over.

So you base the value of human beings upon their utility to a dying economic model. Interesting.

I prefer to adopt an economic model that we conform to human nature rather than expect humans to alter their nature according to the dictates of some arbitrary and ill-thought economic system.

But if we ever do get to the point where capitalism is completely done with a significant percentage of the population, you better get ready for revolution and warfare. That's capitalism finally dying from the worst possible failure imaginable.

Jeff Bezos is a lucky mutterfukker. I PERSONALLY wrote a White Paper while I was at Microsoft titled, "Selling Bluejeans on the Internet," in 1993!
