Now, technically a jet bomber movie, but I'm going to give it a pass at number four, Flight of the Intruder. Great book, and the movie does the book justice, Willem Dafoe as Tiger Cole and Danny Glover as Camparelli for the win.

My grandpa used to make sure we all knew when strip tease was gonna be on TBS.Nukedog wrote:My grandpa has a dish and a subscription to every obscure sports channel so he can exclusively watch golf, women's tennis and women's softball. LMAO.... he's liked curling since my mom died, when the only thing on television to distract us was women's curling in 2010, in Northern Florida. It's something my siblings, their spouses, my Nerd and I have in common.
But, thanks for playing, "Do people really watch stuff 'cause the people to watch are super cute and fun?"
Yes, is the answer. Always. Every time.
Something noble about an old man reclining in his lazy boy being a letcher in front of his woman. Not even kidding.
I miss that old coot.

Then I guess it's Top Gun at number five, because frankly, there just ain't that many jet fighter pilot movies, and most of them suck.

My wife asked the same thing.Penner wrote:Okay, so why are women and men's curling on two different teams.
When I was little I read a thing that said the only sport where men and women competed as equals was some sort of horseback marksmanship. It was a long time ago, though.

Bradley sucks, man I hate the Bradley, honestly, just gimme an up-armored One-One-Three instead, there's no fucking room in the back of the Bradley, it's like stuffing seven guys into a closet.

While the A2 was pretty sweet with it's steering wheel, there's something about those track brakes that made driving fun as shit.Smitty-48 wrote:Bradley sucks, man I hate the Bradley, honestly, just gimme an up-armored One-One-Three instead, there's no fucking room in the back of the Bradley, it's like stuffing seven guys into a closet.
Maintenance on those things was hell, though. They were way past their service life.
I used to wake up to the sound of the engine seizing up from the cold, and jump in the seat to jam the throttle to keep it running. Then the engine would die anyway, and we'd all freeze to death.

Main thing about the One-One-Three, is that General's don't think it should be fighting tanks, which is good, because "Infantry Fighting Vehicles" is a very bad idea, worst of all worlds death trap.
Israeli Namer APC for the win, if you're going to roll with tanks, then you need a tank, infantry tank, OK, "fighting vehicle", no thanks.

I still haven't watched Pentagon wars, but I hear it's a good telling of the story.Smitty-48 wrote:Main thing about the One-One-Three, is that General's don't think it should be fighting tanks, which is good, because "Infantry Fighting Vehicles" is a very bad idea, worst of all worlds death trap.

Re: Women's Curling Discussion
Sweden's curling women took gold-gold-silver in the last three Olympics. Always fun to watch. I miss team Norberg that brought home two straight gold medals and a lot more in the world and European championships.
We have a new team this year. I hope they will do well.
