I've come to accept that discussion wanders off topic, and people will make off topic and off color jokes........ I do it myself.

But when individuals or people team up to intentionally trash a thread it's just sad. Just small people trying to assert dominance in an online forum. To do it once in a while as a joke is one thing, but when it no longer surprises others it's problematic.

When did Kath become a moderator? It's Martin's site, so it's his call. Personally, I have some concerns about Kath being completely objective given her posting history. No, it's not because I think she is a liberal, but Kath has taken things the wrong way on a number of occasions (at least 1 with me) and goes into bunker mentality once she "feelz" that way. If she wants to be that way as a poster, I don't care, but moderators needs to be able to keep their emotions out of their moderation. Seeing memes posted in this thread by said moderator is not inspiring confidence.

Not talking about censorship. ....... just a little mutual respect amongst the group. We're a dysfunctional family here. Some of us have been together for a decade, went through a lot of ups and together . There's value in that, even if your views are 180 out from the other person.
