The Death of General James Wolfe by Stray Cannon shot at Battle of Quebec in 1759, painted by Benjamin West, is one of my favorite paintings:
Sure West was born in PA but he ended up living in London in 1763 and never returned to America. So maybe this counts as British art?

Don't say that, it upsets the Anglo Saxons.Penner wrote:Montegriffo wrote:Speculation is that Macron was making a point about a unified European force defeating England and a reminder of our common past.
Of how you guys were once ruled by French Vikings?
There is a lot of symbolism involved in lending us the tapestry. It highlights our common roots. It was an Anglo-Norman-French language which started to replace Latin in use for commerce and law and it wasn't until 1362 that Edward III made it law that English only was to be spoken in court. The lawyers went on using French until the 15th/16th century. First king to use English as his first language was probably not till Henry IV who was King from 1399-1413 nearly 350 years after Hastings.
Macron is coming across well in his foriegn dealings, he has got the first state visit in Trump's presidency without being seen as a suck up at home like May was after holding Trump's hand.

Dropped a tie breaker bote for MilSpecs, since I think she’s the only one who prepared a speech.

I was thinking we should find one of these Confederate Statues that was removed would make a nice award. She can have a Nathan Bedford Forest statue in her front yard, then ring it with those little black valets holding the ring.

She has told me to leave the country more than once. I suppose that could be construed as racism. If I was black or something.
