Yeah, it dropped into the twenties here in the southern Appalachians. Was going to run today, but was like fuck it. Running looks about done until March. Jump rope days are back, I guess.

Rather have this than transitional conditions, when it's this cold, the snow is pure powder, skiers delight.

Re: Merry Christmas
I'm not kidding. I always get roped into these christmas dinners that I don't want to go to. I need to find a good excuse in the future so I don't have to go anymore. Have you guys ever been in this position? How do you get out of them without coming off like an asshole?

We get the family Christmas done right away, on Christmas Eve, then we're just chillin', so it's all good, can't say I mind it, they go all out, turkey n' all the trimmings, all the booze you can drink, hand out some presents and you're done, what's not to like?
Free food, free booze, and presents, I don't look a gift horse in the mouth.

It's a total whiteout here right now, quite lovely actually, alpine conditions, and quiet, just the sound of the trees creaking in the wind.

Almost t-shirt weather here, sunny and about 10 Celsius. Not going all AGW on you though because I understand the difference between climate and weather.
For legal reasons, we are not threatening to destroy U.S. government property with our glorious medieval siege engine. But if we wanted to, we could. But we won’t. But we could.

My family doesnt drink, so its a little different in my neck of the woods. Im glad you had a good christmas smitty. Im not trying to ruin the holiday for everyone, but for the last ten years I have always gotten kind of depressed and stressed out this time of year. It has just gotten to me somehow.
