Assad is being propped up by the Russians and knows the Americans won't do shit if he gasses people, and so far he's right as even when they blame him all they have done in response is a PR fireworks display that Assad was warned of in advance. Not saying Assad did this gas attack, but this idea that Assad had zero reason to use gas and therefore it had to be someone else is just silly. He is quite the likely suspect.

He might be referring to the 3/5 clause in the Constitution which states slaves only count as 3/5 of a person for determining how many Representatives a state got. The more people counted, the more power a state got in the Federal government.

Walking through Lowes this weekend to get a new hose and deck cleaner for the weekend honey-do-list and I can't help but notice I am surrounded by dozens of middle-aged white folk who don't give a fuck about Syria, North Korea, Af-Pk, Russia, Ukraine, Uganda, etc.

As was once pointed out to me, even in a war, unless you're in a place like Aleppo most people, most of the time, are just living their lives. Going to school work, farming, playing, whatever. So I'm not surprised here in America, nothing much noticed.
