We seem to be "out over our skis" right now. Meaning we are in the birthing process of this Age of Technology and are still trying to figure out how to play this game.
What we need to do is get society back in a serious, upright position so we can at least control our landing. We may under shoot or over shoot our goals but we need to proceed in a more controlled manner than we currently are.
This is not a time to increase the tempo of change! You slow down going in to exponential turns or you will crash.
There is a big gap between those who actually understand what Wikileaks is releasing and those who might as well be reading Japanese.
As we progress through the next century that gap will close considerably. Once we have a populous that is more "tech savvy" hopefully we will be able to better understand the good and the bad that accompany a high tech civilization.
Right now we are asking a bunch of Roman farmers to regulate and use John Deere tractors...
