I recently received my grandmother’s early 1900’s Smith Corona. It has a cast iron base, weighs a ton, and still works perfectly. Kind of fun to have it.

Those Ticonderoga pencils were garbage, though. You could barely see what they wrote and the graphite had such a soft feel to it that they were unpleasant to write with for very long.
