You can’t apply good/bad to the comcept of god because we are forced to understand it in time. For most religion god is beyond Time and so our analysis of what makes good/bad does not apply because we don’t know the future implications as God. And in whether or not there is life after death...

One does not have to be a person of faith to understand this.

But you do have to realize you aren't god, which is a bridge too far with these two.
