Wall. Now deal with it.
Point to wall. That's why we have these policies you open borders traitor.
I still think a wall is nutty, but that's a fair point.

How so? Our border security is practically non existent compared to theirs.StCapps wrote:Our border is already far safer than theirs.
We don't have illegals flowing in from the USA? Sure we do, in fact, they are flowing in right now at a pace, fleeing the increasingly anti-Immigrant Americans, and they just walk across the border, nobody is there to stop them.We don't need that level of security, they need more than they currently have due to ongoing border issues.
It's either effective or it's not, if it's effective, then we should do it too, the only reason not to do it, would be that it would not actually be effective. Therefore paying for a wall makes way less sense in our case for obvious reasons and makes way more sense in their case for obvious reasons.

Re: THE ERA OF TRUMP
Wow. So little imagination.
Look geniuses, how about we take $1 million or so and create the bigliest campaign ever to explain to people how this will work. The R team has the house, senate and WH, so passing a law like that is easy peasy.
Admit your issue with my plan is that the people who own Congress do not want effective instruments in place. You know it, I know it, they know we know it.... and yet, here you are supporting a stupid wall because it means Trump is keeping his promise.
You guys need new sig lines.... Here's what you should have
"Hey, It's super ineffective but at least it's ridiculously expensive!!!"
Your plan is top notch don't get me wrong. I just don't see a way of getting there. Nobody in America agrees on shit. Half of us want to import the entire world.
No, we can't go with the inexpensive, effective way. We prefer the ridiculously expensive ineffective route.... because oooh, loookie and the pretty wall... For real? OMFG.... You just want GoT, I guess. Retarded.Nothing is wrong with your plan. It does lack the visual anchor of a wall and is a harder plan to pitch to masses, but it's certainly cheap and effective

Perhaps. It's the Central Americans we have to worry about because how back it is there. However, if Mexico collapses because of its troubles, that would change.TheReal_ND wrote:If we could unite on anything a wall wouldn't be necessary at all. Then again, if the Second Great Depression, or a Second Civil War, hits us, we wouldn't have an immigration problem to speak of.

Problems with illegal immigration along the US-Canada border isn't even the same league as the problems caused by illegal immigration along the US-Mexico border. Any border wall along the US-Mexico border is going far more effective than any border wall along the Canada-US border. Do you have a real argument or are you really going to keep this bullshit up?

I should clarify that as a Texan, Mexicans are seldom the problem. The problem is that my state is a relief valve for all of Mexico's immigrants that they don't want/can't sustain.
Look. Texicans fought along side of us for our war of independence it's true. They are just as much Texan as my son is. The problem is that some people construe this to mean this is the dumping ground for all the squatamalens of the world and that's simply untrue. Nobody wanted them, why am I surrounded by them? Fuck Mexico, they will pay for a mother fucking wall or I swear to god we will destroy them for their crimes against Texas.

Kath you are retarded. I don't prefer the more expensive route to your plan, I prefer Trump's plan to the plan that the Democrats would have put forward if Clinton had won. The Democrats don't like your plan and would never go for it and neither would many establishment republicans. Stop putting words in my mouth in some lame attempt to make me look bad, you only make a fool of yourself.Kath wrote:No, we can't go with the inexpensive, effective way. I do agree with you, but that's a little harsh. Our beloved politicians, and their masters, want illegal immigration to continue. Trump's pseudo job creating wall building is much more politically feasible.Kath wrote:Wow. So little imagination.

It will take serious campaigning to maybe get the better solution. Maybe I should look into that serious campaign, seeing that I'm a proponent too.

Re: THE ERA OF TRUMP
We have plenty of threat at the border, and we're a much smaller population, so the effects are much greater in relation to that, we have illegals flowing in, we have weapons being smuggled in, we have a huge amount of drugs flowing in, and a huge amount of that just walks across the border, there's almost nothing in its way at all, the Mounties have like one helicopter for every thousand miles of border, our border is not secured in any way for all intents and purposes, and yet you said you believe concrete walls are effective, but now you don't have the courage of that conviction?StCapps wrote:Trolling. You are yapping away about nonsense. Capps... perhaps you've forgotten, the Ds are no longer in charge. Who cares what they want to pass? Face the reality that this is not the option because NOBODY IN POWER wants to fix this problem. This is a $20 billion piece of red meat for the masses. Idiotic,''StCapps wrote:Kath you are retarded. Jbird... do you even read my posts? I'm on record in this thread at least 20 times explaining that they won't do anything that works because NOBODY IN POWER wants to fix this problem.jbird4049 wrote: I do agree with you, but that's a little harsh. That's why the wall is stupid, stupid, stupid. Capps wants me to pay $20 million to build absolutely nothing. I, on the other hand, do not pay lip services to this issue. I want it FIXED.
We can FIX THIS. Nobody wants to fix it.
