I like how you pretend that physical barriers don't do anything. You're not sitting out in the middle of a field right now. You're surrounded by walls, and doors with locks. Why'd you waste your money? Don't you know they don't do anything?

Most homes, and cars, are robbed because they are unlocked, but one just has to be more difficult to rob than the other guy. For a thief, there are always another car, or house, to rob.

Many of the illegal immigrants, especially from Central America, come because they really don't have a choice. Mexico would be an improvement, but Central America, and Mexico, have a hate/hate relationship.Honduras, Nicaragua, El Salvador, have the some of the highest crime rates (murder, rape, robberies, violence) on the planet. Unemployment is beyond high, the corruption is worse, and there a swaths of the countries where the government can't go.

Thousands of men, women. and too many children, from Central America, every year are picked off as they ride on top of freight trains, then, if they are lucky, ride rickety buses upto the American Border, where the coyotes, or monsters masquerading as humans, "guide" them in small groups across the border. They often travel through the desert, often with little, or no water, or food, or adequate clothing. Often for a walk that may take several days. Where at the end, if they are lucky, they will be packed into van, or a truck, or a large container, and driven to whatever location job/family/friends/random spot in the States.

So hundreds, maybe now thousands die, or or injured, due to civil unrest/war going in Mexico, falling off trains, random rape, and robbery, because almost everyone will be robbed and/raped, or lost in the desert enslavement for farms/factories/brothels by whatever person with a gun stops them which includes, but is not limited to the random criminal gangs,narco-terrorists, the army, and the police.

So yes, unless we are talking like the East/West German borders of the Cold War complete with multiple lines each of barbed wire, walls, minefields, watchtowers, and guys with machine guns with orders to kill on sight, our new wall will fail.

The Berlin Wall was, IMO, also a failure because even then people found ways to get to the other side.

Taking issue with use of funds is one thing, objecting to the concept of a wall across any portion of the border is something else entirely. If you don't want to blow $20 billion on it, I don't blame you, but a wall on a border can have it's uses. I don't see why people have to pretend otherwise just to shit on the idea.

Not only will it serve the much needed role of stopping truckloads of Hispanics on a holiday it will also set in stone the fact we are resolved to protect our people from invaders. When it is built it will be something that can't be undone. There will never be another libcuck successfully campaigning on promises of open borders. It will create jobs and Mexico will fucking pay for it one way or the other.
